Regular readers probably know that I’m a fan of Dan Klass from The Bitterest Pill Podcast. If you’re not a subscriber yet, I really think you should take a listen. The Bitterest Pill is a humorous and oh-so-slightly sarcastic view of Dan’s life as a stay-at-home dad, and (as he calls himself) “a failed actor/former comedian/shut-in”. There are 2 subscription options available. You can either choose to listen to the podcast once a month for free, or you can choose the Premium subscription (like I have) and receive 4 episodes a month for a low fee of US$4/month.
Being one of my Twitter/Facebook friends, Dan happens to notice that I listen to a certain Father D from the a certain podcasts named after a broken halo or something. (I know I’m sounding wierd, but I will explain later) Apparently, Dan and Father D were ex-classmates! What a small world!
Last Friday, I received a Facebook message from Dan that he’ll be appearing on Father D’s show on Sirius Satellite Radio (Channel 159 – The Catholic Channel) at 8:20pm Eastern Time/5:20pm Pacific this coming Tuesday (23rd September 2008). (OK, you smart people can start checking the program schedule, and you’ll know who’s “Father D” and what show he’s hosting
)
I’ve been wanting to share this piece of news with you all this whole weekend, but I thought I should check with Dan first. He’s fine with me making this announcement on my blog, and getting more listeners for the show, but since neither Father D nor his producer have been notified in advance, he thought perhaps we should be a little discreet about things. Dan’s checking with the “authorities” right now, while I post this announcement so everyone is informed and prepared in time for the show.
Meanwhile, if you are not a Sirius subscriber (like me
), you might want to consider signing up for the 3-day trial to listen to Sirius Internet Radio for FREE! (Hey, you can also catch Greg and Jennifer on The Catholics Next Door on the same channel! Kill 2 birds with 1 stone!
)
There, I’ve finally got the secret off my chest. Now, won’t you “siriusly” consider signing up for a 3-day online trial now? I am.
